July 14th – Special Olympics Softball Games – Framingham – 1:00pm

We are
doing our Famous Cheezeburger & Hot dog luncheon with all the fixing’s, members,
fun & frolic.
We will be holding the
competition at both Walsh Middle School and at Framingham High School, however
the BBQ will take place ONLY at Walsh Middle School. At the conclusion of
competition, athletes and coaches who played at the High School are invited to
Walsh Middle School for awards and the BBQ. We anticipate this to be around
3:00 p.m.
We are
looking for a commitment from people to help with this event. Please let us

July 20th - 22nd – Camping Trip – Ellis Haven – Plymouth (Parrot
Points Awarded)
Bring
the entire family – even the dog!! This is a great time for all. Make your
reservations by calling (508) 746-0803. Tell them you are a Parrot Head to get
booked in sites T84-T94. Go to
www.ellishaven.com for more information and directions. Sites are nice and
large and dry (yeah). The 2nd Annual Progressive Campsite Crawl will
be on Friday night at 8pm. Stroll from Tiki-Bar to Tiki-Bar/Campsite to
Campsite. Each campsite involved in the crawl will offer their favorite snack
or drink for the crawlers. The PHCOEM Potluck dinner is Saturday at 3pm. Sites
are $32/night with water only or $42/night for water and electricity for up to
two adults, two children, and two tents. Additional adults are $5/ea, children
under 5 are free. If you would like advice about selecting your campsite or for

August 4th – Pan Mass Challenge Water Station – Wrentham

We will
be water Parrot Heads for the cyclists that ride from Sturbridge to Provincetown
to raise money for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund. . . Calling
all Parrothead Cheerleaders to help cheer on the bike riders of the Pan Mass
Challenge. These cyclists will be riding 192 miles over 2 days to raise money
for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. Our job will be to cheer for the riders
as they arrive at the Wrentham water stop. Dress in your phinest parrothead
attire and COME ON DOWN!! Mike Donnelly will be setting up the Parrothead Cafe
-- from which we serve snacks and drinks to the riders -- and I will be helping
to organize the decorating and refreshment set-up. Bring your (non-alcohol
referenced) parrothead decorations, your grass skirt, and your loudest cheering
voice to support some of the greatest cancer fighters (and cancer survivors) you
will ever meet. Set up begins at 6:30am (sorry), and the first riders will
arrive around 8:30am. We will be finished with clean up around 11:30am. Come
any time and support this very worthy cause. The water-stop is located at a
school called the Wrentham Development Center, Emerald St, Wrentham. For more

August 11th – Annual Membership Pool Party – Fratangelo Home – 1:00pm

Points Awarded) FUN, FUN, FUN!!! Ernie and Ellie have opened their pool and
yard to us for this great event. Bring your own food, drinks, chair, towels,
and SUNBLOCK! The grill will be going. We will have entertainment and also an
ice cream truck for everybody’s enjoyment. The address is 124 Lynn Street

– Brockton Rox Baseball Game – Buffett Parrot Head Night – Brockton -

AGAIN! Box Seat Tickets are just $7. Game starts at 7:00pm, but gates open at

August 25th – Pre-Cruise Gathering – Diane Xenelis’ home
I would like to extend an invitation to all sailors and sailor-ettes
to stop by my house (192 Water St Newburyport) from 3-7pm for a pre-cruise
gathering. Please bring your own food, beverages and chairs -- I will provide
the grill, paper goods, and an awesome view of the Merrimac River! Ahhhh,
summer in New England -- it doesn't get any better than this! Hope to see you
all at this one particular harbor....

August 25th – Harbor Cruise – Newburyport –

The
boat will be rockin – and I don’t just mean from the waves!!! We set sail from
Hilton's Fishing Dock, 54 Merrimac St, Newburyport. Boarding begins at 7:30 and
we will sail from 8-11pm. Entertainment will be provided by the BaHa Brothers.
Tickets are $30. Make checks out to PHCOEM and mail to our PO Box. There are 20
rooms blocked at the Fairfield Marriott, 35 Clarks Road, Amesbury. Our
discounted rate is $125 for a room with one king or 2 double beds, and free
continental breakfast. (To get this rate you must make your reservation by July
25 and mention our group ID: PHCR.) You may contact them at 978-388-3400.

Boston - Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk

We are putting a team together of Parrotheads to join in the fight
against Breast Cancer. You can join the team to walk or you can support the
team by going to the team page (http://main.acsevents.org/site/TR?px=2318186&pg=personal&fr_id=3496&s_tafId=73518)
and making a donation. The location of the walk is the Hatch Memorial Shell,
Charles River Esplanade. Rolling registration and Start is 8:00 - 10:00 am.
All participants must check in. There will be 2 routes: 5.7 miles or 3 miles.
There will also be a stage show including speakers, dancers and more. Last
October, 36,000 participants raised $3.2 million to help fight Breast Cancer.
So come join the team or come to support the members of the team. Get dressed
up in your best Parrothead attire and let's show our true Parrothead spirit.

North or South
Travel Route 93 and exit onto Storrow Drive. Take Storrow Drive and exit at
Copley Square. Stay in the left lane upon exit. At the light, turn left and
take an immediate right onto Arlington Street. (You will not have a choice;
follow the traffic.) Stay in the left lane on Arlington. At the second light
(Boylston Street) take another left. You will see the Public Garden on your
left. At the next light, Charles Street, take another left and proceed
immediately right to enter the Boston Common Garage. Walk through the Boston
Common to the Public Garden. Cross through the Public Garden until you come to
Arlington Street. Turn right onto Arlington Street and walk until you come to
Beacon Street. Walk across Beacon Street and use the Fiedler Footbridge to
cross over to the Esplanade.
West
Take the Mass Pike (I-90) inbound to the Copley Square exit. Once exited, the
back of the Westin Hotel will be on your left. Get into left lane so you can
take the next left onto Dartmouth Street. Once on Dartmouth, get into right
lane so you can take a right (two lights up) onto Boylston Street. Take
Boylston Street to Charles Street (keep the Public Garden on your immediate
left). Once on Charles, get into your right lane and enter the Boston Common
Parking Garage. Walk through the Boston Common to the Public Garden. Cross
through the Public Garden until you come to Arlington Street. Turn right onto
Arlington Street and walk until you come to Beacon Street. Walk across Beacon
Street and use the Fiedler Footbridge to cross over to the Esplanade.

– Walk for Hospice Center of the North Shore

We are planning to participate in this walk in memory of Buff
Madison. Sunday - 9 a.m. Registration begins at 8:00 AM. 3-mile walk begins
and ends on the campus of St. John’s Prep, Danvers. Each year, thousands of
community members come together to take part in this very special fund raising
event. Mark your calendars and join a celebration of the lives of those who
live in our hearts and minds. Form a walking team of family members, friends,
neighbors, students, church groups, businesses to commemorate loved ones, while
supporting HNS’s mission of enhancing the quality of life for seriously ill
patients. Captain and team names and their tributes will be listed in the
Commemorative Program Book if we receive your information by the September 12th
